The Heritage Trail, including Phase 2 (under construction), will span 2.47 miles once completed. It features segments for all mobility levels, from easy to strenuous, with rest areas for breaks. Starting at Town Hall (with accessible parking), the trail winds through scenic spots like a playground, an 1800s cabin, and a Flutter Garden. It connects downtown Ellettsville to Stewart Park, where the Ellettsville Heritage Center (opening Spring 2025) will provide rest stops, water refills, and a chance to enjoy nature. Key attractions include historic sites, pollinator gardens, and family-friendly loops. The trail also links to the Karst Farm Greenway at the W. State Road 46 and Hartstrait Road intersection.

The Karst Farm Greenway is a 7.27-mile paved, multiuse trail connecting Karst Farm Park in Bloomington to Campbells Park in Ellettsville, with trailheads at several parks along the way. At its southern end, it links to multiple smaller trails within Karst Farm Park and the YMCA Loop. A recent 2.67-mile extension added a northern segment from the Loesch Road Trailhead to SR 46 near Campbells Park, utilizing a former rail corridor.
